Play the old version online, no download
Most people who search for the old version want the plain game they remember: a cannon at the bottom, a ceiling of colored bubbles, and groups of three that pop. You do not need an installer for that. The Play button above loads Bubble Shooter Levels from bubbleshooter.com, the publisher that bought the series in 2015. It runs in the browser on a computer or a phone.
Be clear about what it is. Levels is the publisher's current HTML5 game with 100 patterned boards, not a copy of the 2002 browser build. If you want the closest classic look, bubbleshooter.net keeps a Classic Bubble Shooter page that it describes as a remake of the original, playable on all devices, and a separate page titled Original Bubble Shooter. I checked both on 29 October 2026; neither is hosted or modified by this site.
- Want the classic rules explained first? Read the Bubble Shooter Classic page.
- Want to know which game was first, and when? The history guide covers the 2001–2002 release and the 2015 sale.
- Remember a mobile app instead of the browser game? Skip to the APK section below.
The popular old APK is a different game
An Uptodown listing I checked on 23 October 2026 named Cool Mango as the developer, and its newest build was still 2.22.53 when I looked again on 28 October 2026. It is a separate app, not bubbleshooter.android or bubbleshooter.orig. Version history and availability can change; verify the developer and package identity rather than relying on a matching title.
APKMirror's search results in front were other publishers, including Ivy and Rovio titles that merely share words. I did not see an Ilyon package at the top. This site will not mirror those files.
A safer path
- Decide which current package you actually want, using the Android guide.
- Install it from Google Play and verify the developer and package name.
- Google Play help explains reinstalling compatible apps, but does not promise access to historical versions. Do not assume a previous purchase enables rollback; ask the publisher about version support and avoid unofficial APK mirrors. - If the goal was nostalgia for the 2002 browser game, play the web embed above instead of hunting a dead installer.
Questions people ask
Can I play the old Bubble Shooter online?
You can play the old style online. The frame above loads Bubble Shooter Levels from the publisher's public embed, and bubbleshooter.net has a Classic page it calls a remake of the original. Neither is the 2002 executable, and this site does not claim it is.
Where is the old Ilyon APK?
I did not find Ilyon builds leading the APKMirror search. The prominent names were other publishers. I am not linking a file I cannot tie to the package.
Who made the Uptodown Bubble Shooter?
The Uptodown listing I checked named Cool Mango, not Ilyon. Its version history, download totals, and Android requirements are specific to that separate app and may change.
